The Foundation for Sustainable Entreprenuership supports research and development of strategic importance for sustainable business endeavour worldwide. The Foundation, which is non-profit and resides in Stockholm, we are organised with 5 key elements:
1. The Board of Trustees The economic liability lies with the Board of Trustees. Consequently, the Board establish a budget for each upcoming financial year and prepare annual reports for final accounts and management reports. It is responsible for ensuring that the Foundation’s assets are managed in a trustworthy manner. Furthermore, the Board takes decisions regarding employment. The Board is appointed through a plenary session. 2. The Council for Research & Development The Council for R&D is the decision-making body with respect to projects and funders. It may be involved to determine whether and how to proceed with a specific project, or type of projects, on request by the project coaches. 3. The Projects and Products The projects and products are the heart of the Foundation, as its vehicles of efforts for sustainable development. Sustainability experts from industry, NGOs, governmental agencies, industry/business associations, financial institutions, consulting organisations, and universities, in all parts of the world, submit their project proposals. The proposers, with their respective experiences, disciplines, affiliations and locations, represent a well of knowledge that will be used to further new projects. 4. Funding To realise the sustainability projects, financial support is needed. This element consists of financial sources that support a project through its development stages to become a product. 5. The Management System for the Foundation The Foundation is organised according to ISO 9001:2008 (Quality), ISO 14001:2004 (Environment) and OHSAS 18001:2007 (Occupational Health&Safety). The Foundation was certified October 1st 2009 to these standards. For access signed entrepreneur contract with the Foundation is required.
