Phase III and IV Print E-mail

Phase III objectives establish the mechanisms and launch pilot projects.

a. To have investigated sources of financial support, representing financing for different stages of a project, to the program.
b. To define the preferences and conditions of these funders enabling the program to assist project presentation and matching.
c. To launch pilot projects, funded by the sources linked to the program. 

Phase IV objective is to expand the program by increasing the number of projects and countries involved.

Sustainability Park - SPARK
A SPARK is a local center for enterprises and organizations for the development of ideas and business with a focus on sustainability of products and services. SPARKs develops synergy between research, business, public sector and voluntary sector for innovative and creative environments that stimulate entrepreneurship and new solutions. A SPARK is an arena that brings together enterprises, public sector, associations and researchers for innovative and creative meetings, which encourage social entrepreneurship and brings forward new ideas for sustainability. A SPARK gives opportunities for product development, testing of prototypes, business development and communications for developing sustainable products and services that will have social and market potential.  

Sustainability Park - SPARK Mission
SPARK is a process of sustainable businesses/organizations with sustainable products/services in the community. SPARK process included three categories of activities:
• Tools for the development of organizations
• Communication activities
• Support for the initial funding of organizations

Each SPARK has a distinct geographical core of enterprises, organizations, private and public activities. A SPARK also work with other stakeholders in the area. All SPARK also has a commitment to a minimum level for those who want to be part of an SPARK. All SPARK are linked to a regional node, which is a center for the region's SPARK. A SPARK and its stakeholders includes a contract that commits to:

  • Working with the "Triple Bottom Line" (economic aspects/environmental/social aspects)
  • Operate for life and promoting health and creativity
  • Increase sustainability through continuous improvements
  • Contribute to the development of SPARK
  • Learning
Sustainability Park - SPARK Policy
SPARK provides knowledge and organization to the companies and organizations encourage the development of economically, ecologically and socially sustainable products and services. SPARK is a dynamic organization that seeks to be nationally and internationally recognized within sustainable development. SPARK working methodology identifies needs and the knowledge that the organization offers and actively contributes to greater satisfaction through the products and services SPARK are providing. SPARK stands for competence, communication, accessibility and effectiveness. Our commitment is controlled and monitored in our own management system which requires compliance with legal requirements, stakeholder requirements, continuous improvement and pollution prevention. SPARK is committed to training and experience exchange and we have an overall understanding of the physical, psychological, social aspects of the organization.

Explanation: Sustainability means that the economy and the environment integrated with the social aspects so that communities and its inhabitants live and work in a way that benefits the Planet Earth without the use of future generations of resources and lives. A process has a beginning “inputs”, activities and a final result or “outputs”. The process is supported by various methods (such as "design methodology", "the Genuine Contact Program", "Environmental Performance Assessment - EPA) and" action research") in a structural way.
